Chris has been a Stillwegian (Stillwater resident) since 2008. He recently spent 3 years getting valuable experience at the local newspaper as a news editor, staff reporter and advertising sales rep.
The new facility is designed to accommodate current and future needs while providing a healthier environment for staff and the cats and dogs under their care.
Also, the Payne County Budget Board will discuss preparations for the $1.3 million renovation of the third floor of the Payne County Administration Building and possibly take action on inclement weather and bereavement policies.
Councilors will also honor a Stillwater Jr. High student, discuss a bond election for a new animal welfare facility, receive a donation for a closed park, and a Downtown property owner applies for a small business grant.
Also, residents question map amendment for the proposed animal welfare facility and Stillwater Public School's rezoning request is tabled by Commissioners.
